Saltanat Kenbeilova, a senior lecturer of the Department of Metallurgy of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building and Transport of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, has become a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Petrochemistry.

Students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University showed a good result at the VI National Competition among University Students in Machine Building, which was held in Karaganda State Technical University (Karaganda).

The problem of terrorism has recently gained extreme topicality. Special attention should be paid to study of the factors that allow terrorism not only to exist, but also develop. The financing system of terrorism is of primary importance in this context. Nowadays, many aspects of this problem are described and analyzed in scientific literature.

On February 28, 2014, a musical and theatrical performance was given in the lobby of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University for the teaching staff and structural units members, undergraduate and graduate students of the University.

A scientific and practical seminar entitled “Information Field of the Region and the Role of the Saryaka Samaly Newspaper” dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the date of its establishment was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

A meeting of the Inspiration student poetry club members took place in the Scientific Library named after S. Beysembayev and was devoted to the 135th birthday anniversary of Pavel Bazhov, a famous writer and folklorist, and the 245th birthday anniversary of Ivan Krylov, a prominent poet and fabulist.

During the session of the Academic Council of S. Toraighyrov PSU held on February 26, 2014, the administration and leading scientists of the University congratulated Mariya Serafimovna Terenik, a well-known local historian of Pavlodar region, honorary member of the Kazakh Society for Protection of Monuments of History and Culture, and honorary citizen of the city of Pavlodar.

Yet another lecture for undergraduate and graduate students was delivered by Zholdas Bertymuratov under the Bilim+ project in the concert hall of S. Toraighyrov PSU.

S. Toraighyrov PSU took part in a charity marathon “Purchasing an Automobile for Children from Samal Rehabilitation Center”.

The final stage of the Mister PSU 2014 contest was held in the concert hall of S. Toraighyrov PSU. This year, representatives of all nine faculties of the University took part in the competition.

Members of the teaching staff of the Department of Sociology and Political Science of S. Toraighyrov PSU in cooperation with the Nasikhat political and legal club held a roundtable discussion on the basics of destructive behavior.
