On October 21, 2015 a competition “Mister PSU 2015”, organized by the Youth Affairs Committee, was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

A mini-football tournament was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, its main prize was the Cup of Rector.

In the great city of winds and space launches, in Baikonur the Kazakhstan Powerlifting Championship has ended with success recently. Yernur Haylyamov, a student of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, became the winner of the competition and received the 1st place medal in the 59 kg weight class, holding a great total of 487 kg.

An international seminar titled “Mashkhur Zhussup and the genealogy of torres within celebration of the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate” initiated by the Scientific and Practical Center for Mashkhur Studies of S. Toraighyrov PSU was held at a general education school No. 38 of Moiyldy village.

The presentation of the book “Abay zhumbaktygy – filosofiyalyk masele” (The mysteriousness of Abay as a philosophical issue) was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

A student squad has been established on the basis of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, its main objective is to render assistance to local law enforcement authorities in the prevention of juvenile delinquency and depression of youth destructive and deviant behavior factors.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Kasakhstan Stefano Ravagnan visited S. Toraighyrov PSU, and held a meeting with its students.

Seminars on methods and methodology of research for first year postgraduate students, majoring in engineering, the humanities and natural sciences, have been held by the Department of Science and Innovations at the University. The lecturers of the seminar were highly qualified teachers entitled to carry out academic advising, i.e. Professor, Doctor of Biological Sciences Sh. M. Zhumadina, Associate Professor, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences M. Zh. Kozhamzharova, Associate Professor, Candidate of Engineering Sciences A. V. Bogomolov.

On International Translation Day, which has been celebrated on September 30 every year since 1991, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies has summed up the results of the competition of translators, held at the University. Stories written by the American author Paul Deutschmann served as materials for translation.
