Research

The research of the faculty of the Department of Jurisprudence covers a range of scientific problems: problems of the history and theory of law of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries, conceptual approaches to the study of legal processes, regional legal problems.

Research is underway on the implementation of initiative-based research works, within the framework of which the topics of theses and master's theses, publications of teaching staff, students and undergraduates on topical issues of state and law are being built.

Teaching staff of the Department of Jurisprudence annually participate in international, republican scientific and practical conferences, have scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals with a CiteScore percentile index in the Scopus database and recommended by the authorized body in the field of education.

The subject of scientific research of students is related to the educational process, focused on the subsequent professional or scientific activities of the graduate.

The teaching staff of the Department of Jurisprudence conducts advanced training courses in the following areas: "Practical course of procedural law of the Republic of Kazakhstan (civil, criminal, administrative)", "Current issues of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of minors in school and family, as well as law enforcement agencies", "Employment contract: conclusion, amendment, termination. Judicial practice on labor disputes", "Legal support for business", "Information and propaganda work in the field of combating corruption and protecting the constitutional rights and legitimate interests of citizens, clarification of the law "On rallies", "Conflict in the collective and mediation methods of its resolution", "Consumer protection in e-commerce", "Information and communication technologies in the scientific and pedagogical activity of a teacher: technologies and methods of online learning", "A teenager in conflict with the law: solutions", each in the amount of 72 hours.

The teaching staff of the department is implementing three grant financing projects:

1. "Illegal and forced migration in Kazakhstan: security challenges and counteraction measures". Amount: 62,099,460 tenge. (project manager - Doctor of Law, Professor Hamzin Amangeldy Shapievich);

2. "Digital profile of a citizen: legal regulation and protection of personal data". Amount: 55 681 801 tenge (project manager - Doctor of Law, Professor Zhetpisov Serik Kozhanovich).

3. "Risks of the cross-border spread of destructive religious beliefs: legal solutions based on an interdisciplinary approach." The amount is 80032460.93 tenge (project manager - Doctor of Law, Professor Hamzin Amangeldy Shapievich)

The Department of Jurisprudence publishes the scientific journal "Bulletin of the Toraighyrov University", as a separate series, which has been published since March 2022.

The editorial board of the journal includes well-known Kazakhstani, Russian and foreign scientists with the h-index (Hirsch index). The journal is registered in the Russian National Bibliographic Database of Scientific Citation of the RSCI (license agreement No. 93-04/2023) dated 04/21/2023.
