The Faculty of Computer science was established in 2021 (founded on the basis of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology). It trains specialists in the field of Information systems,  mathematics, physics  (Bachelor's degree: 6B06104 — Computer Science, 6B06102 — Information Systems, 6B06191 — Blockchain Engineering, 6B05301 — Physics, 6B05302 — Technical Physics, 6B05401 — Mathematics, 6B05402 — Mechanics, 6B07104 — Instrumentation;

Master's degree: 7M06102 (M094) — Information Systems, 7M06152 — Information Systems, 7M01501 — Computer Science — Instrumentation, M05301 — Physics, 7M05401 — Mathematics).

The faculty employs approximately 2 doctors of science, 15 candidates of science and 7 PhD holders. Around 5 research and scientific-technical projects have been implemented, over 100 patents and certificates of authorship have been obtained, and more than 100 scientific articles and 10 monographs have been published. The faculty collaborates with companies and enterprises such as Promanalit LLP, ELTEL LLP, SOLID GROUP LLP, KazInvestKom IP, Rubikom Enterprise LLP, SmartErtis LLP, Technical Capabilities CIS LLP.

The faculty is equipped with the following laboratories: Huawei ICT Academy, Graphics and Design, Cybersecurity, Programming, System Administration, Robotics, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, the Laboratory of Molecular Physics, the Laboratory of Mechanics, the Laboratory of Optics, the Laboratory of Solid State Physics named after Doctor of Engineering Sciences V.O. Voloshin, the Laboratory of Electricity, Magnetism and Wave Processes, the Laboratory of Quantum Physics and the Structure of Matter named after Professor K.K. Kairbaev, the Laboratory of Modeling Physical and Mechanical Properties, and the Laboratory of Physical and Mechanical Properties of Nanocomposite Materials.
