A competition of student research projects!

TEMPUS is one of the programs of the European Union aimed at supporting the process of modernization of higher education in the partner countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Western Balkans, and the Mediterranean region mainly through inter-university cooperation projects. In 1995, TEMPUS was established in Kazakhstan.

On November 16, 2013, the Regional Scientific and Practical Center for the Study of Inter-ethnic and Inter-religious Processes will hold a contest devoted to the International Day for Tolerance for the undergraduate and graduate students of 9 faculties. It will be held in 5 nominations: the Best Article, the Best Slogan, the Best Logo, Tolerance through the Camera Lens, and Arnau.

• THE FOUNDATION OF THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN, LEADER OF THE NATION, announces a competition for the best research in the field of science and technology for young Kazakhstani scientists. The competition is open to young scientists under the age of 40, and teams of scientists (max. 3 people per team). • THE FOUNDATION OF THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN, LEADER OF THE NATION announces a competition entitled “the Best Council of Young Scientists in Research Organizations and Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The competition is open to Councils of Young Scientists of Research Organizations and Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. • THE FOUNDATION OF THE FIRST PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN, THE LEADER OF THE NATION announces a competition for awards for the most talently-made, innovative and original works, programs and projects for young Kazakhstani activists in the field of culture and art. The competition is open to young activists in the field of culture and art under the age of 40, as well as creative teams (max. 8 people per team). The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Kazakhstan Baik Joo Hyeon visited S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on November 1, 2013. He gave a lecture to the undergraduate and graduate students of the University.

20 projects performed by PSU scientists were presented at the Inter-Regional Innovation Forum entitled “Innovation as the Energy for the Future” on October 31, 2013.

Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor Nurlybek Ispulov attended the School for Young Scientists from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Countries organized by the National Personnel Training Foundation of the Russian Federation (Moscow).

A regional seminar-conference entitled “Social Harmony and National Unity of the People of Kazakhstan: the Conceptual Framework, Institutions and Implementation Mechanism” was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on October 30, 2013.

The Expert Clubs sessions were held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University within the XVI session of the Youth Policy Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 29, 2013.
