The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is functioning in accordance with the Development Program of the "Toraigyrov University" and the Concept of Development of Higher Education and Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2029, adopted by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 28, 2023 No. 248.

The history of the development of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is closely connected with the formation of scientific and methodological schools developing in the departments of the faculty. The faculty was founded in 2004 and carries out its work in the direction of personnel training and scientific support of branches of the socio-humanitarian sphere.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the NAO "Toraigyrov University", together with local executive bodies, is actively implementing the program "Strong University – strong region". Today, many of our scientists are actively involved in the work of the project offices of the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archival Affairs; the Department of Religious Affairs, the Department of Health, the Department of Information and Public Development and akimats of districts, which allows using the scientific and technical potential of the university to solve regional problems.

The aim of the faculty is to become a regional center of academic excellence by forming advanced scientific schools in the direction of humanities and social sciences.

Mission: Formation of socially responsible professionals in socio-humanitarian sciences, ensuring sustainable socio-economic development of the region.
