The purpose of educational work is to create conditions for the development of spirituality, the upbringing of universal and patriotic values ​​among students, their enthusiasm for the social life of the department, faculty, university.  Improving the general educational, professional and political standard of living of students, creating conditions for personal self-expression.

 The advisers, together with the monitors of the groups, in accordance with the plan conducted advisory hours on various topics, covering various aspects of the university life of students.

Within the framework of the action "Mercy", and the volunteer activity of "Biz birgemiz", students and teachers of the department during the year on the territory of the MPI "Children's village of the family type  of Pavlodar" held class hours with gifts and sweets.

The students of the Department of Biotechnology were involved in the planned cleaning of the territory of the university, where they distinguished themselves by their hard work, timely cleaning their sites.  The basis of labor education is the connection of the theory of instruction with production practice and social labor.

For self-realization, students have the opportunity to participate in the annual scientific conferences "Toraighyrov readings" and "Satpayev readings" held at the university, where, in terms of the number of scientific and practical articles, the students of the department were in the forefront in terms of active participation among all departments of the university.  In addition, they actively participate in competitions and scientific projects, in sports and other events.

 It should be noted the participation of Master's degree students of the department who won the 3rd place in the multilingual Olympiad among students and Master's degree students of Toraighyrov University, as well as the participation of the teaching staff in the sports contest "Densaulyk zor bailyk" among the teaching staff and employees - the team of the department won the  2nd place in gymnastics and 3rd place in all-around.
