Head of the Department of Geography and Tourism, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Dinara Yessimova attended the seminar “Sustainable Energy and Climate Change in Russia: policies, discourses and narratives”.

The event was held at the base of the Faculty of Sociology and International Relations at Nottingham Trent University (UK).

The seminar was attended by representatives of foreign universities, including Oxford, Birmingham, Abertay, Middlesex universities, Moscow Higher School of Economics, and others.

During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to present their research, discussing their significance and scientific value with international experts.

D. Yessimova presented her report on the environmental awareness-building of the population, paying particular attention to the results of the research on the project “Express Course of Ecology of Pavlodar Region”, funded by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“We have conducted a number of studies aimed at preserving the biological diversity of the region. We presented the results in electronic textbooks and a textbook on the ecology of Pavlodar region. In addition, Internet users can get acquainted with the new online course MOOC “Ecology of Pavlodar region", - said D. Yessimova.

She also noted that in Pavlodar it is planned to open the Yuong-Eco ecological center for young people. ”
