A lecture by the SES senior expert, Dr. Peter Otto Althoff (Germany) was held at the college of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The workshop was attended by specialists from more than 30 colleges of the Pavlodar region - teachers of power-engineering, special subjects, masters of industrial training.

According to Anna Essenova, acting director of the college at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, the heightened interest in the meeting indicates that the topic is very important today, and work experience with foreign partners gives an opportunity to consider this issue in more depth.

Peter Otto Althoff shared his experience in the implementation of modern methods and training programs, the use of renewable energy sources in Germany and Europe, and also made a presentation noting the opportunities and consequences of “green technologies” usage in energy supply.

In addition, he conducted a brief excursion, familiarizing the participants with the regulatory structure, discussed the development of hydraulic power plants, gas-fired plants and coal power stations, and also talked about the use of biofuel and the construction of solar electric plants.
