S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University named after hosted an evening of memory of Eduard Asadov, poet and prose writer, Hero of the Soviet Union (1923-2004).

The event "Asadov - a poet, a romantic and just a Man" was organized by the club of book lovers "Inspiration" of the scientific library named after  S. Beisembayev.

The students of the Faculty of Humanities and Education turned to the pages of the poet's life and creative ways, quoted the beloved lines of lyrical works: "Poems about the red-haired mongrel", "I can wait for you", "Letter from the front", "I'm no sixteen, Mom!" , "Spouses have quarreled since evening" and others.

Student of the Department of Russian Philology Alexandra Muzyka noted that in the fascinating lines about love, war, friendship, nature, feelings, the reader can find something of his own.

"Edward Arkadyevich could talk one language with people, familiar and understandable. He had a strong sense of justice, he was a life-affirming poet, in whose works a feeling of love for life was felt", she said.

In his poems, the poet turned to the best human qualities - to faithfulness, justice, love, nobility. Having lost sight in 1944, he continued to see and feel life much better and deeper than other people not lacking in this opportunity.

Eduard Asadov is the author of 50 books, he wrote not only lyrics and poems, but also prose. His works have been translated into many languages - Tatar, Ukrainian, Estonian, Armenian and others.
