Toraighyrov University students visited the enterprises of “Kaz Minerals Bozshakol” LLP.

 

The university delegations saw the enterprise’s production base, main technological processes, the Industry 4.0 process automation system, as well as ESG elements being implemented here. In addition, at the meeting they discussed the issues of internships for students of engineering and computer specialties, providing grants for training to students of Toraighyrov University and internships for university graduates with further employment at the enterprise.

“Kaz Minerals Bozshakol” LLP is a large-scale open-pit copper mine in Pavlodar region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The company processes about 30 million tons of copper ore per year, the mine life is about 40 years with an average copper content of 0.33%. Kaz Minerals' main product is copper, with significant volumes of zinc, silver and gold also mined as by-products.

- Dual education is a powerful tool for training qualified specialists and promoting cooperation between educational institutions and the business community. This is an important step to strengthen educational systems and increase youth employment,” noted the rector of the university, Yerkin Sadykov.

Recently, representatives of “Kaz Minerals Bozshakol” LLP talked about the possibilities of training students from the ToU faculties of Energetics, Computer Science and Engineering at the expense of the enterprise.
