Graduates can work in design and analytical organizations, mass media, research organizations, government agencies, higher education institutions, cultural centers, expert and consulting research institutes. First graduates in Culturology received their diplomas in 2008. All graduates are employed. The Department offers some courses that are taught to all students, e.g. philosophy, culturology, religious studies, etc., as well as courses for specific programs, e.g. 5B020400 Culturology.

Bachelors with a degree in 5В020400 Culturology may hold the following primary positions: teacher of culturology in general secondary and vocational education institutions (schools, colleges, lyceums); referent, expert, specialist at specialized structures of internal affairs and national security agencies; workers of cultural and educational institutions; observers of cultural processes in mass media; expert in evaluation of cultural values; consultant in the field of cultural activities; imageologist; specialist in public relations; specialist in cultural policy with no requirements regarding the length of service in accordance with the requirements of the Qualification Handbook for Managers, Specialists and Other Employees approved by Order No. 201-o-m of the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 21, 2012.

Main objectives of the program in 5В020400 Culturology:

- education based on patriotism, solidarity of the people of Kazakhstan, respect for different cultures, traditions and customs;

Students have research, industrial and pre-graduation internships at the Department of Culture of Pavlodar region, G.N. Potanin Pavlodar Regional History Museum, Pavlodar College of Engineering and Economics, Pavlodar College of Arts, etc.

Objectives of the educational program in 6М050100 Sociology:

The program's objective is to train professional sociologists capable of investigating topical problems of society, study social systems, processes and phenomena. The program ensures formation of the ability to analyze social reality, determine objective relations in it, basic tendencies and contradictions. Graduates acquire knowledge of the contradictions and the socio-economic impacts of globalization, the role of science and education in social life, current methodological and philosophical problems of the scientific field.

Graduates get an academic degree of Master of Social Science in 6M050100 Sociology. The sphere of professional activity of Masters in 6М050100 Sociology is the area of human and social relations, interaction of political, economic and cultural processes in the society, the regulation of social processes, social structure, analytical and forecasting activities, sociological analysis. Master of Social Science may hold positions in public service, public associations, sociological institutes and analytical centers. Holder of a Master's degree in Sociology is also eligible for carrying out educational activities at higher education institutions.
