History of the Department
The Department of Performing Arts was established at the Faculty of Humanities and Education of Pavlodar State University in 2004. The Department educates students of two Bachelor specialities: 5В010600 - Music Education; 5В040200 - Instrumental Performance. The teaching staff of the Department consists of 19 people (5 of them are part-time employees) and includes 1 Doctor of Pedagogic Sciences, 1 Candidate of Art Criticism, 1 Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 4 Art Workers. Since September 2019, Candidate of Arts Mikhail Pavlovich Popandopulo has been the Head of the Department.

Publications:2 articles in journals indexed in Scopus; teaching manual “Voice production”, a collection of copyright choral arrangements for various choir compositions, more than 50 publications in international, republican, regional conferences, 2 monographs (Pavlodar, 2017; Barnaul, 2017).
Field of research: Artistic and aesthetic environment of Pavlodar Irtysh, choral singing, choral education, choral arrangement
Professional achievements: Certificate of honor from akim of Pavlodar region, certificate of honor of the Department of culture, archives and documentation of Pavlodar region, letters of appreciation from the rectors of PSU named after S. Toraigyrova, rector of PSPI.
