Miroshnik Evgeny Efimovich - Scientist - power engineer, organizer of higher education, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor. He was born in 1928. In 1942 he entered the Nizhny Tagil Mining and Metallurgical Technical School, and in 1944 he entered the Krivoy Rog Mining Institute. In 1949 he was assigned to Leninogorsk Polymetallic Combine as an electromechanic. In 1950-1954. - Deputy chief mechanic, chief mechanic of Sokolsky mine. Since 1956 he was chief mechanic, deputy director of Tekeli lead-zinc combine.

In the system of higher education began to work in 1965 as an associate professor of the department of electrification and automation of mining industry of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and SSO of the Kazakh SSR. 1968 - 1976 - Rector of Pavlodar Industrial Institute. He paid great attention to the consolidation and growth of qualification of scientific and pedagogical workers, improvement of educational and methodical and scientific work, improvement of quality of specialists, creation and improvement of material and technical base of the institute. In 1972 the residential building of the Institute was commissioned ahead of schedule, and in 1973 - a hostel for 656 places.
