Gayni Seytenova, Candidate of chemical sciences from Toraighyrov University, has been cooperating with Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery for about three years.

The company was offered a solution to increase the depth of oil refining, increase energy saving and energy efficiency of processes.  The project is ready, it remains to conduct industrial tests.

 - In European countries and America, the depth of oil refining reaches 98-99%, in contrast to Kazakhstan and neighboring Russia, where this indicator does not exceed 85%.  In order to increase the depth of processing, scientific support is needed.  The problem is that in our country no one has yet developed mathematical models for oil refining - digital prototypes of non-stationary multicomponent processes of advanced refining of oilstock”, Gayni Seytenova says.

According to her, at Kazakhstan oil refineries, units are operated without taking into account the changing composition of raw material.

 - The mathematical model will make it possible to predict the operation of industrial plants depending on the composition of raw material, to increase the output of finished products and the depth of oil refining, while reducing energy costs and emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, as well as oil refining residues.  In addition, the digital prototype can be used to train personnel as a simulator, -  the candidate of chemical sciences said.

To date, Toraighyrov University has concluded an agreement for pilot testing with the Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery for the adaptation of mathematical models.
