Within the framework of the World Environment Day, students, graduates and teaching staff of the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Natural Sciences of PSU together with Altai State University (Barnaul, Russia) held a summer school “From “Green Economy” to the ecological culture of a new type”.

The event was held at the sports and recreation camp “Bayantau” of S.Toraighyrov PSU.

The main goal of the summer school is to develop professional knowledge and skills in the field of geography, tourism and ecology, as well as the general cultural qualities of future specialists.

The work of the school included training seminars and visiting excursion routes.

Alexander Redkin, Candidate of Geological Sciences, Head of the Department of Recreational Geography, Tourism and Regional Marketing of ASU, Kanat Akhmetov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Natural Sciences of PSU, Dinara Esimova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Geography and Tourism, Ainagul Kaliyeva, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Head of the Department of Biology and Ecology.

In addition, experts from PSU and ASU made presentations on the problems of forests in Altai Territory, the construction and concept of an eco-hotel, the “green economy”, ecological culture and tourism.
