The Republican Congress of Teachers-Historians was held at M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov.

Madi Rakhimov, senior lecturer of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, took part in the work of the congress.
Issues of teaching history were discussed at breakout sessions and the need for updating the school curriculum was noted.
During his speech, the minister emphasized that the President of the country set tasks regarding historical science, and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with universities, is actively working to create an academic multi-volume book on the history of Kazakhstan, the concept of development of historical science in Kazakhstan.
He also added that changes have been made to the legislation so that the institutions of history, state and law receive funding not only depending on the grants won, but constantly.
- This, of course, is a great support for historians in developing the quality of scientific research, - Askhat Aimagambetov said at the forum.
As a result of the event, a resolution was adopted to update standard programs, republish history textbooks, and strengthen research work.
