A round table discussion “Language and its contribution to strengthening national unity” was held at S. Toraighyrov PSU dedicated to the Day of the Languages of the People of Kazakhstan.

The scientific secretary of the Sh. Ualikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, Makhabbat Kozybaeva, presented an interactive map “The People of Kazakhstan” to the guests, which contains complete information about the history and culture of ethnic groups, the history of the capital, etc. The map was based on rare archival and statistical sources.

The head of the Department of the Kazakh language and journalism, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Ayman Zeynulina, voicing possible problems.

She noted that the new rules should be unified, not allowing discrepancies. Each Kazakhstan citizen should be able to make his proposals and best practices.

“The experience of the whole party should be generalized. Specialists need to build a beautiful melody that is understandable to everyone from all the polyphony. Moreover, one should not forget the experience of those countries that have already passed this stage - the trends when changing schedules are common”, A. Zeynulina said.

In addition, in their speeches, participants noted the value of the Russian language in interethnic communication and the uniqueness of the Korean language.

Head of the Department of APK, Doctor of Historical Sciences Saule Mamytova notes that many ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan do not know their native language and their traditions.

“The state and the Assembly are actively working to revive the linguistic traditions of more than 130 ethnic groups inhabiting Kazakhstan. Mutually enriching ethnocultural communication has been established between peoples based on the equal rights of ethnocultures, the most correct attitude to the interests of each of the parties, and careful preservation of ethnocultural diversity”, S. Mamytova says.
