The delegation of S.Toraighyrov PSU headed by an acting rector, Doctor of Economics, Meiram Begentayev visited Kazakh National Agrarian University. The meeting was opened by the rector of KazNAU, vice-president of NAS RK, academician Tlektes Yespolov.

The parties discussed the experience of the transition of universities to a non-public joint-stock company and phased transformation into a national research university, having studied the development strategy of KazNAU, the development of human resources and more.

According to associate professor Alexey Titkov, the transition to a new form of ownership will expand the economic independence of the university, will allow direct agreements with business and entrepreneurship entities, attract investments through the board of directors, and more.

So, for example, the profit that is formed in the university’s activity system will be focused on the formation of the material and technical base: scientific laboratories, equipment for the development of the educational process.

The main task in the transition of universities to the non-public joint-stock company is the development of human resources. For this, PSU scientists studied in detail the development algorithm of the HR management system. It was decided to revise the KPI system, develop a map of competencies and qualification requirements for the team for a better assessment of staff.

During the visit, guests got acquainted with the activities of Nazarbayev Center for Education and Science, international innovation centers and laboratories.

“We were very impressed with the production facilities of the laboratory base of KazNAU. We have come to an agreement and plan to continue work in two areas: agricultural technology and biotechnology. Today, the entire laboratory base of KazNAU is available not only to PSU scientists, but also to our Master's and doctoral students. You can come and do any research on-site”, said Nurlan Yerzhanov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation.

In addition, the PSU delegation got acquainted with the work of the Smart point coworking center, focusing on infrastructure support, the creativity of the repair work performed, etc.
