A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service and S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The agreement involves the creation of joint educational programs, the development of academic mobility, the possibility of a double master's program, as well as the organization of joint practices and expeditions.

The interest of representatives of universities in Uzbekistan was primarily caused by the continuing education programs offered by PSU, the possibility of academic exchanges, internships and advanced training for university teachers.

In Uzbekistan, students of the Department of Geography and Tourism undertook an international internship and visited the capital, Tashkent, as well as the historical center, Samarkand.

“For several days, the group got acquainted with the customs, traditions and history of the Uzbek people. Both cities are two thousand years old, which have an effect on the atmosphere of these cities. Uzbekistan has a very large tourist potential, in 2018, more than 5 million people visited the country and in the coming years the number of tourists arriving in Uzbekistan will grow”, G. Azhayev, head of the practice added.

In addition, Galymbek Azhayev, candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences, associate professor gave lectures to students of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service on international tourism and ecotourism.
