As part of the project to establish a partnership between universities in the USA and Kazakhstan, U.S.-Kazakhstan University Partnerships Coaching Program scientists from The State University of New York Dr. Guy Lanza, Dr. Lee Newman, David Amberg, PhD and Donald Leopold, PhD visited Pavlodar State University.

During the visit, the experts compared the educational programs of doctoral and master's programs in such areas as “Biology”, “Ecology” and “Agronomy”.

The experts also discussed further areas of cooperation, including the organization of joint research work of scientists, research internships in the laboratories of the College of Environmental Science and Forestry of The State University of New York, the development of a double-degree program at the PhD and Master's levels, and the issue of training in the USA free of charge.

We recall that the project to establish a partnership between the two universities in the field of biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration was approved for funding by the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan.

The project will be carried out by scientists from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry of The State University of New York, Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Faculty of Chemical Technology and Natural Sciences at S. Toraighyrov PSU.

The meeting ended in the Bayanaul National Park, where an excursion was organized for the guests, as well as a rest in the “Bayantau” sports and recreation camp.
