The literary evening “Zhusipbek-korkem sozdіn zergerі” dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the founder of the novel genre in Kazakh literature, scientist, enlightener Zhusipbek Aimauytov was held in S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

During the event, the librarian of the Kazakh literature sector of the Scientific Library named after Academician S.Beisembaev Aliya Rustemova gave an excursion on the life and work of the poet.

In many respects, citizen of Pavlodar Zh. Aimauytov was a pioneer: he was at the origin of Kazakh drama, Kazakh pedagogy and psychology, became the founder of the novel genre. In addition, Aimauytov is also known as a talented translator who laid the scientific basis for literary translation in Kazakh literature. He translated works by A. Pushkin, L. Tolstoy, Shakespeare and other authors.

For a long time, by decision of the authorities, the literary heritage of Zhusipbek Aimauytov was hidden from the reader, and only in 1988 his works were published.

In continuation of the literary evening, the audience referred to the novel “Ak Bilek”. Aida Bakhtiyar, a student of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, addressing the idea of the novel, spoke about the fate of a Kazakh woman in the period of the establishment of Soviet power.
