A literary evening dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the publicist, poet, fabulist Ivan Andreyevich Krylov was held in the fiction sector of the academic library named after academician S. Beysembaev.

At the meeting, students of the Faculty of Humanities and Education turned to the main stages of the life and work of the writer, noting his significant contribution to the development of Russian literature.

The participants illustrated their stories with bright lines from the works of the author.

“Publisher of satirical-educational journals I.A. Krylov left a rich literary heritage. Collected in nine lifetime collections of about 250 fables and today do not lose their relevance. We have been learning from childhood on these small but incredibly rich life experience and wisdom in poetic sketches”, Anastasia Nikitina, a student of the Russian philology department says.

Also various contests and quizzes were organized for the participants. Theatrical performances became the colorful and bright addition to the evening, the script for which was the fable of I. Krylov.
