Scientific projects of EXPO and innovative developments aimed at solving environmental issues were presented by scientists of S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The presentation was attended by the deputy Akim of Pavlodar region, Zhaiyk Sharabasov, and the head of the department of industrial and innovative development of the region, Nurbolat Seytmagambetov.

“Today, all developed countries are fighting for “clean” energy. In Kazakhstan, only one percent of energy belongs to the “green”. In 2017, the President ordered to hold an international specialized exhibition EXPO on the topic of new energy. We had the opportunity to get acquainted with the best international practices and are now implementing them in the regions. We took 10 projects, 3 of which were implemented. And today, on Independence Day, the university presented two more complex scientific projects”, Nurbolat Seytmagambetov said.

During the presentation, guests could see developments on the use of pedestrian slabs for generating electricity. Slabs provide autonomy of the work of lighting devices by 50% and lighting lamps by 25%. They are developed from a composite material using large-tonnage industrial wastes that convert the kinetic energy of pedestrians into electrical energy for its further accumulation and use.

Autonomous lamps on solar batteries for use in street lighting at a reduced cost of production by 47%. Lamps will generate electrical energy, using it to provide lighting in the dark.

As well as a project to develop new building materials based on industrial and polymeric wastes. Products are presented in the form of paving slabs, tiles, curbs, sewer rings and hatches.

Krishnaswamy Raghavan, Professor of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (India), who lectures on renewable energy these days, in a conversation with Zh. Sharabasov, added that the main purpose of his stay at the university is to develop and improve educational programs on this topic.

We add that earlier, during the excursion, the first head of the JSC “Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery” and JSC “Eurasian Energy Corporation” also had the opportunity to evaluate startups of young scientists. In turn, V. Grinenko expressed readiness to establish these developments on the territory of the enterprise.
