Students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University won eleven prizes of the Republican contest of performing musicians “Pavlodar music games”, which was held in Pavlodar.

More than 150 musicians from all over Kazakhstan took part in the musical competition. The chairman of the jury was the associate professor of Kazakh National Academy of Music, the chairman of the branch of the Union of Composers of Kazakhstan in Astana S.K. Abdinurov.

The best performing musicians were defined in four categories: pianoforte, stringed instruments, wind instruments, folk instruments. 

As a result of the contest, six winning places in the piano category were won  by PSU students, including three solo performers (first, second and two third places) and two duets (first, third places). In the nomination of folk instruments, there are two winners (first, second places). Wind instruments also performed worthily, having entered the top three (first, second and third places).

Serikzhan Abdinurov especially noted participants in the nomination of wind instruments for their academic and finely honed performance, and also emphasized that the school of wind instruments of Pavlodar region is rightfully considered one of the strongest in Kazakhstan.

Associate Professor of Kazakh National University of Arts Larisa Latyshova appreciated the high level of pianists training, emphasizing their professionalism and technique of performance - pure, natural, energetic and emotional.

Famous works by composers from Kazakhstan and abroad were performed 0from the stage.  Connoisseur of art were able to appreciate the works of  K. Shildebaev “Concert Kuy”, A. Bestybaev “Scherzo”, I. Brahms “Hungarian Dance No. 1”  G minor, D. Milhaud “Scaramouche”, E. Grieg “"Concert Etude in memory of Chopin”, a concert play “Yapuray” and others.
