Creative evening devoted to the 80th anniversary of the Kazakh poet, writer, scholar, historian and teacher Tolegen Aybergenov was held in the scientific library named after S. Beisembayev.

Tolegen Aybergenov broke in the poetic arena in 1957. His poetry has caused an enthusiastic public response. The lines of his poems of the time, the beauty of his native land, on the highest human aspirations pierced the soul of the reader, appealed to the feelings, aroused emotional excitement.

Aybergenov created his poems in the 60s. With only three published books, he became the national poet. The first book "The way of dream" was published in 1963. It was followed by the second - "Journey to life" (1965). The third book of the poet - "Minarets in the sands" (1968) was published posthumously.

His name was given to streets and schools in the districts and towns of the South-Kazakhstan region and also in Astana.

Tolegen Aybergenov lived only 30 years, he suddenly died. Up to now, relatives do not know what disease claimed life of young poet.

T. Aybergenov is one of the few writers, whose work has helped to reveal the talent of poets - innovators, thus raising Kazakh folk poetry to a new level. Among them stand out such outstanding masters of rhyme words like Mukhtar Shakhanov, Esengali Raushanov, Fariza Ongarsynova.

Guest of the evening, Doctor of Philology, Professor Aytmukhamet Turyshev noted that in modern world when everything is subjected to globalization, such values as humanity, respect for each other, love for others are lost, and poetry of Tolegen Aybergenov is able to fill in this lack.

"The interest to his work of students of different specialties says that his poetry survived the change of times and today remains in demand. Poetry - it is a philosophy that can heal".
