The republican festival of the Kazakh League of KVN for the Cup of the rector of PSU was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

University teams of twelve regions of the country, such as Astana, Almaty, Semipalatinsk, Arkalyk, Kostanay, Rudniy, Aksu, Ekibastuz, Ust-Kamenogorsk, etc., came to demonstrate their skills.

The KVN teams with the intelligent sense of humour and delicate sense of style made first year students’ day by telling them witty jokes based on a real life and performing funny sketches. Young sincere humorists and their desire to be extraordinary and victorious didn’t leave the audience indifferent.

The eagerness to tell jokes and have fun wasn’t the only motivation for participating in the festival, financial incentives were also offered to motivate participants of the competition, thus the teams, which received the first three awards and the Grand Prix, were given money rewards. The Dostar KVN team of Semipalatinsk won the Gran prix of the festival. Great attention was drawn to the Chekhov ayaldamasy KVN team that won the 1st place. The 90-60-90 KVN team of Semipalatinsk received the silver prize of the competition. PSU’s students from the Mango-tango KVN team were awarded the bronze.

And of course the event featured the traditional performance by the Pavlodar zhastar kuramasy KVN team of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

In its short existence the “Pavlodar zhastar kuramasy” KVN team has already been the University’s team, and now it represents Pavlodar region in the republican league, ever since it has not slowed down, the KVN team has become the winner of the Irtysh Regional League and the Zhasybay tolkyny Festival for the Cup of the akim of Pavlodar Oblast.
