The chairmen of ethnocultural associations of Pavlodar region held a lesson for students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University. The lesson was devoted to the history of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK).

Ramil Smailov, a 2nd-year undergraduate student majoring in Journalism who is also a Deputy Chairman of the APK's Regional Youth Wing, was the moderator of the event.

In her welcoming speech, the Head of the Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan at S. Toraighyrov PSU, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Gulfayrus Zhapekova noted that the Department was founded at PSU last year. “We have become a dialogue platform for holding sessions of expert clubs and various events aimed at analysing and studying intercultural relations and strengthening inter-ethnic harmony.”

Elmira Petrosyan, Chairperson of the “Ayrenik” Pavlodar Regional Armenian Society, member of the APK, presented a documentary about the history of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, reported on the activities of her ethnocultural association and sang a song in the Armenian language.

Roza Serasshetdinova, a teacher of the Tatar branch of Kanat Darzhuman School of National Revival, told about the work of the School and implementation of the educational project for the study of the Tatar language and literature which is available to everyone.

Yelena Likhanova, a librarian of S. Toraighyrov PSU, presented an exhibition of books available in the reading hall of Kazakhstan People’s Library.
