A festive concert dedicated to International Women’s Day was held at Toraighyrov University. The ceremonial event brought together the university’s faculty members and staff, becoming a symbol of respect and recognition for women’s contribution to the development of education, science, and society.

Musical and vocal performances, as well as dance numbers, were presented on stage, creating a festive and spring-like atmosphere for the audience.

Congratulating the women of the university, TOU Rector Nurlan Medetov noted that women today actively contribute to the development of science and the management of the university. Currently, 11 out of 35 research projects at the university are led by women scientists. In 2025, 91 scientific articles with the participation of women researchers were published in the Scopus database. In addition, 49 women hold leadership positions at the university, including heads of departments, faculty deans, heads of structural units, and vice-rectors.

The festive concert became a gesture of gratitude and respect for the women of the university, who successfully realize themselves in their professional careers, scientific activities, and family life.

The celebration marked the conclusion of the pre-holiday day, which had begun earlier in the morning. Female faculty members and staff were welcomed by the male members of the university community with flowers, creating an atmosphere of appreciation and respect.
