Open lectures by leading technical specialists of "Kaz Minerals Bozshakol" LLP were held at Toraighyrov University.

 

 Lectures were held for students in the fields of automation and control, electrical power engineering, information systems, metallurgy and mineral processing as part of the implementation of innovative educational programs developed and launched by Toraighyrov University in 2022-2023.  At the lectures, students learned about the specifics of the production of copper and molybdenum concentrates at the mine, features of the technological process and equipment operation.

 “At a meeting with technical specialists within the framework of the academic committees in the areas of training, issues of modernizing educational programs, improving certain disciplines in these areas of training were discussed, an agreement was reached on practical training at the enterprise for ToU students with the possibility of further employment,” noted a member of the board for academic  affairs Petr Bykov.

 "Kaz Minerals Bozshakol" LLP is a large-scale open-pit copper mine in Pavlodar region in the Republic of Kazakhstan.  The company processes about 30 million tons of copper ore per year, the life of field is about 40 years with an average copper content of 0.33%.   The main product of "Kaz Minerals" is copper; significant volumes of zinc, silver and gold are also mined as by-products.

 Students received memorable prizes as part of a quiz conducted by the company's HR specialists.
