The main objective of the learning support activities is to create an environment conducive to improving the efficiency and quality of the learning process. Vice-dean for Academic Affairs is responsible for this kind of work. Learning support activities is a complex of measures aimed at:

- providing resources for teaching;

- improving the pedagogical skills of lecturers, as well as in-class and independent work of students;

- improvement of all forms, types and methods of training activities taking into account the state and prospects of the energy sector, telecommunications and automation of technological processes.

Learning support activities are carried out in the following forms:

- academic activities, aimed at improvement of the methods of teaching courses, provision of all necessary teaching materials, introduction of recommendations worked out as a result of research into the learning process, improvement of pedagogical skills of the teaching staff;

- research activities aimed at studying the best practices, prospective development of the learning process, improvement of its contents and teaching methods, search of new principles, laws, methods, forms and means of organization and technology of the learning process;

- organizational activities covering teaching activities management.

Branches of the Department have been established in the following companies:

- KSP Steel LLP;

- Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC;

- Kompaniya Neftekhim Ltd. LLP

On the basis of a consortium agreement between S. Toraighyrov PSU and Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC and KSP Steel LLP, students of the Departments of Heat Power Engineering and Electrical Power Engineering majoring in Heat Power Engineering study at Aksu TPS under the dual training program, while students majoring in Electrical Power Engineering study at KSP Steel LLP.
