Only the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology has specialized training laboratories. Departments of Biology and Ecology, Geography and Tourism have classrooms for teaching special subjects; the Department of Physical Education and Sport has a sports hall and a complex of training facilities located in the territory of the University Stadium. In order to make the learning process closer to the industrial conditions, departments of the Faculty have established its branches at companies and organizations of our region. The number of these branches increased from 4 in 2022 to 8 in 2023.

A unique International Dendrochronology Laboratory was established at PSU in 2023. It was equipped with unique devices under the international project (Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Germany) and under the funded projects of the Faculty.

Students have their curricular and industrial practice in the territory of Bayan-Aul National Park, regional and municipal committees on environmental protection, land and forest resources, laboratories and departments of environmental protection at the oil refinery and aluminum factories.

The Faculty of Chemical Technology and Natural Sciences has 48 long-term contracts with such companies and institutions as:

The Department of BIE has the material and technical base necessary for the organization of the educational process of the educational programs of the department (assigned to the department and university-wide), educational and information base: classrooms equipped with multimedia equipment (A-418) and computer classes of the building, electronic content of the UMKD, educational literature.
On the basis of the department there is a scientific and research ecological center "Monitoring" (A-443), whose tasks are: providing methodological assistance in improving the monitoring of the environment and natural resources of the region, as well as a specialized laboratory "Dendrochronology" (A-437), a laboratory of biological research (A-518) for conducting scientific andresearch works of undergraduates and doctoral students in the field of dendrochronology, biology and ecology.

The department has 2 laboratories of general chemistry and 7 laboratories in special disciplines.
The provision of the department with an educational and laboratory area does not fully comply with the standards.
The department has specialized laboratories with an area of 252 m2, 2 classrooms with an area of 126 m2. When carrying out laboratory work in chemical disciplines, the standard of GOST "Laboratory work" is not maintained - at least 4.5 m2 per student. The workload of laboratories, taking into account the time for the preparation of laboratory work, is complete; work is carried out in several (3-4) close disciplines in one laboratory room. During the reporting academic year, the exhaust system in Laboratory No. 502 was repaired. The covering of laboratory tables has been replaced in all laboratories. A projector is installed in lecture hall No. 510, which allows conducting training sessions with slides and other methodological material. However, it is necessary to retrofit with modern fume hoods (in laboratories A-503, A-504, A-505, A-520), laboratory equipment and furniture.
There is no installed and unused equipment at the department. In the 2022-2023 academic year, an application was submitted for the purchase of chemical reagents in the amount of 72,623 tenge.
The department has 12 computers, 3 scanners used in office work and preparation of a large number of educational and methodological documentation and research being developed.
In order to provide the disciplines of the technological profile with visual material, the students developed and manufactured models of technological installations and devices in the disciplines "Alumina technology", "Basic processes and devices of chemical production".
During the reporting period, the department continued the work of the branch of the department on the basis of the Neftekhim LTD LLP (valid for 2021--2022): students' industrial practice, development of course and diploma projects on the technology of the enterprise.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, equipment worth more than 90 million tenge was purchased at the department under the program of SPIID-2 RK.
Also, in the educational laboratories of "PNKHZ" LLP, major repairs were carried out with the replacement of educational equipment.
