The history of the Department of Trilingualism dates back to 2000. The department is a service department providing instruction for all educational programs of the university.
The educational process is carried out by highly qualified faculty members with extensive experience in academic, pedagogical, and professional practice. The academic staff includes 6 professors, 6 Candidates of Sciences, and 7 PhD holders.
The Head of the Department is Aiman Faizullovna Zeynulina, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor, Academician of the International Academy of Informatization (IAI).
The faculty members of the department annually take an active part in grant-funded research competitions organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, the Head of the Department A.F. Zeynulina and prof. M.A. Uaikhanova received grant funding in 2021; Prof. A.Zh. Anessova and prof. S.Zh. Yergaliyeva during the period 2020–2022; S.Zh. Yergaliyeva in 2022, as well as in 2022–2024; and M.A. Uaikhanova in 2024–2026.
Grant-funded research projects constitute an integral part of the department’s professional activities. In 2021, the Head of the Department A.F. Zeynulina and senior lecturer B.R. Kozhakhmetova conducted online training courses for residents and civil servants of the city of Ekibastuz within the framework of a service contract.
In 2022, four professional development seminars for regional educators were delivered under a service agreement with SMARTSTART LLP. Professor of the Department T.K. Manyapova implemented scientific and methodological training courses, while Ass. prof. B.A. Yskak participated as an expert in the comprehensive final evaluation of grant-funded research reports.
Over the past five years, the faculty members of the department have published 226 scholarly works, including 26 articles in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Thomson Reuters, Scopus, and other databases; 77 publications in journals recommended by the authorized national body; 116 papers in the proceedings of national and international conferences; as well as 7 monographs.
The department actively involves students in research activities. Over the last five years, 28 joint publications with students have been produced, and students have won prize places at academic conferences and Olympiads.
