The department "Geography and tourism" was created on January 1, 2006. After separation of the chair "Ecology and Geography", the head of the chair was Doctor of Geographical Sciences Saparov K.T. Since 2007 the head of the chair was candidate of geographical sciences Tsaregorodtseva A.G. Since 2008 the head of the chair was candidate of geological-mineralogical sciences, Associate Professor Kalieva Aida Ahmetbekovna. Since 2011 the head of the department is candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Esimova Dinara Dautovna.geography and tourism department was founded January 1, 2006. Currently, the department has 16 teachers, including 2 professors, 5 associate professors, 4 PhDs, 6 senior lecturers, 2 teaching assistants and 2 teacher-practitioners. The Department provides training in Geography, Tourism, Restaurants and Hospitality Business.
