On the basis of the department there is a scientific research environmental center «Monitoring2 (A-443), whose tasks are: providing methodological assistance in improving monitoring of the environment and natural resources of the region, as well as a specialized laboratory «Dendrochronology» (A-437), a Laboratory of biological research (A-518) for conducting scientific researchresearch works of undergraduates in the field of dendrochronology, biology and ecology.
