History of the department

The Department of Architecture and Design was established in 2003. It trains specialists in the field of construction, architecture and design in the specialties of "Architecture", "Design", and "Production of Construction Materials, Products and Structures" based on licenses issued by international accreditation agencies. Since 2023, a new promising educational program "Urbanism and urban environment development" has been opened in the field of "Architecture and Construction".

The faculty employs 5 doctors (PhD) and 11 candidates of sciences. Study under the doctoral program: Gaisakyzy Sholpan (Mongolia), Zharkumbayeva Maira (Kirgizia). During the 2024–2025 academic year, at the department 3 patents and 2 certificates of authorship have been obtained, and 44 scientific articles (of these, the SHEQAC MSHE RK – 3, Scopus – 7) have been published. There are 2 funded contractual themes underway. For conducting all types of practices, the department has concluded long-term contracts with "Pavlodar city Architecture and Urban Planning Branch" SI, "Pavlodar Regional Architecture and Urban Planning Administration" SI, "NEXT" LLP, "Omis Inc" LLP, "EcostroyNII-PV" LLP, "Dom Stroy PV" LLP, "DSK TemirTas" LLP, "TROYA" Company LLP.

Article 419. Knowingly false denunciation
1. Knowingly false denunciation on commission of criminal offence shall be punished with a fine worth up to two hundred monthly calculation indices, or with corrective labor in the same amount, or involvement in community service for a period of up to two hundred hours.
2. Knowingly false denunciation on commission of a crime – shall be punished with a fine worth up to four thousand monthly calculation indices, or with corrective labor in the same amount, or involvement in community service for a term of up to one thousand hours, or restriction of liberty for a term of up to five years, or imprisonment for the same term.
3. An action, provided by second part of this Article, linked with accusation of a person in relation of corruption, grievous or especially grave crime or committed for selfish motives — shall be punished with imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
4. The actions, provided by second or third parts of this Article, committed in the interests of criminal group shall be punished with imprisonment for a term of five to twelve years.

At the Academic Council on February 10, 2021 (Protocol No. 7), it was decided to create a new Faculty of Computer Science (Faculty of Computer Science).

CS specializations that are additionally launched in the 2022-2023 academic year from September 1:
CS: Intelligent Technologies,

CS: Robotics and the Internet of Things.
Program Description:

CS: Cybersecurity-identifies threats to information security and risks of data loss, develops and implements measures to counter threats and solutions to protect against information loss; ensures the safety and confidentiality of data; participates in the development and implementation of IT solutions.

CS: Software Engineering-a specialist creates, maintains and implements software with a specified quality, within a specified time frame and within a predetermined budget.

CS: Web Development-Specialist in web programming, web application development

CS: DevOps-engineering-controls the development and administration departments, plus automates the execution of their tasks by implementing various software tools, synchronizes all the stages of creating a software product.

CS: Graphics, augmented and virtual reality - design, development, implementation and maintenance of information technologies and software products of virtual and augmented reality.

CS: Intelligent technologies-Development of intelligent systems: neural networks, recognition systems in the agricultural, service structure, telegram bots for business.

CS: Big Data and Data Analytics - a universal specialist (Data Scientist) who has knowledge in mathematics, statistics, computer science, computer science, business and economics. extract the necessary information from various sources, including information flows in real time, and analyze it for further business decision - making.

CS: Robotics and the Internet of Things - development of process automation systems based on programmable logic controllers, microprocessors, embedded distributed systems and real-time systems, robotic devices and systems, industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems.
