20 teachers of Pavlodar region presented their projects to improve the teaching of STEM subjects in English.

Subjects and English teachers developed their ideas and methods during the training with American professors. Their mentors are professors at Indiana State University.

According to Phil Boltz, program trainer, project training is a recognition of the problem. Teachers were given freedom in choosing and solving it.

If for one group of teachers it was important to enrich the educational material in biology, chemistry, etc., then for another it was important to work on teaching skills.

It is worth noting that combined project training helps to improve not only the teaching methodology, but also the level of knowledge of the English language. Soon the experience of the participants will be available for use by all teachers of schools in Kazakhstan.

Other exchange and training programs are available on the U.S. Embassy website.
