S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, following modern trends, organized a training titled “Personal Development and Leadership” for its students under the auspices of the Business Tailor International Coaching Center.

A masterclass was delivered by Aidar Abrayev, a certified coacher of the British Council. Aidar himself calls the course “coaching” that means curatorship, instruction and mentorship. The definition of the term “coaching” in the context of the program is “training or development in which a person called a coach supports a learner in achieving a specific personal or professional goal”.

For a start, Aidar told about the activities carried out by International Erickson University (IEU), which he graduated from. The following approaches are taken as a basis in all educational programs offered by IEU: systems thinking, result oriented technology and the latest studies in the sphere of psycholinguistics and management.

According to Aidar, the masterclass is aimed at unlocking and realizing the hidden potential of participants, helping them increase their efficacy and, of course, improve the quality of life.

Aidar noted that, having rightly organized and arranged work in terms of the given plan of personal and professional development, students might considerably better their academic performance and, taking a fresh approach to familiar things, become highly proficient and creative scholars.

It should be also noted that A. Abrayev delivered the coaching course with sufficient drive that elicited vivid responses from the audience.

Thus, a second-year student Altyn Amangeldinova shared her impressions of the masterclass: “Aidar Abrayev is an engaging speaker. He presented information in a simple and creative way and most importantly, he managed to give all of us food for thought and prove that new ideas may change our lives for the better.”
