The Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Aryn Orsariyev, had a meeting with a group of school-leavers. A special ceremony of delivering UNT certificates was held for school-leavers who took the UNT at Pavlodar State University.

The ceremony was attended by school-leavers and their teachers, as well as PSU lecturers and students. Over 3,000 school-leavers took the UNT in our region this year, and about 600 of them did it at S. Toraighyrov PSU.

The event began with a presentation of a video about PSU. Guests of the event learned a lot about the history of the first university of Pavlodar region, the work of its faculties and research centers, and the life of PSU students.

There was an open dialogue between Aryn Orsariyev and school-leavers. There were many questions regarding the admission rules, number of grants for each program offered by PSU, passing scores, etc. Prospective students received detailed answers to all of their questions and expressed their wishes regarding their future studies at PSU. Some of them would like to have more public lectures. Aryn Orsariyev supported their proposals.

The University is currently preparing a ranking of its academic staff members. Highly ranked professors will deliver lectures open to all students. "Research schools, experienced lecturers, and talented young scientists will help you realize your potential to the fullest; you will acquire knowledge and skills that will open up great career prospects at leading companies of the region and Republic," he said.

Aryn Orsariyev also noted that the University has created all conditions for an in-depth study of English and German. Soon new language centers will be opened, and students will be able to study French, Spanish and Chinese. "We are expecting the arrival of the French ambassador, who will attend the opening ceremony of the French Center," said the Rector.

The whole event turned out to be not only interesting, but also informative for school-leavers. Photos from this meeting are available at: VK, Facebook
