The Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Aryn Orsariyev, had meetings with the leaders of several universities in the UK in order to develop cooperation.

Aryn Orsariyev participated in the International Conference “Kazakh Universities on the World Stage – The Influence of Global Rankings” held in London. QS World University Rankings is an annual ranking of universities determining positions of HEIs in the international community. The main objective of QS World University Rankings is to present universities as multifaceted organizations, as well as to show their progress in the process of their development.

During his stay in the UK, Aryn Orsariyev visited a number of universities: Cambridge University, Oxford University, Brunel University, Queen Mary, London School of Economics, and University College London. An agreement on cooperation in the field of academic mobility, staff development, and education was signed with Cambridge University.

A memorandum of cooperation under the Newton - Al-Farabi program was signed with representatives of Brunel University. It includes student and academic staff exchange, internships, and inviting foreign lecturers.

According to Aryn Orsariyev, the University intends to continue expanding international cooperation. Implementation of the academic mobility program for students and academic staff members will continue. “Our goal is to educate competitive specialists on the basis of international experience and establishment of scientific and professional cooperation with the world's leading scientists and experts,” he said.

These meetings resulted in signing of several documents on long-term cooperation in education and research, including development and implementation of a joint international academic mobility program for students and academic staff, development of joint research projects, scientific consulting and internships for postgraduate students, interchange of scientific publications, organization of joint conferences, workshops and round-table discussions.
