Active members of the Student Self-Governance Organization of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University held a round-table conference entitled 'Tatulyk'. It was devoted to Nursultan Nazarbayev's role in the formation of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

Ramil Smailov, a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Journalism, Deputy Chairman of the Youth Wing of the regional branch of APK, and one of the organizers of the conference, emphasized that the main purpose of this dialogue platform is promoting the idea of national unity. It is also aimed at telling the history of the Assembly and explaining the role played by our President in its formation.

Gulfayrus Zhapekova, Head of the Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan at S. Toraighyrov PSU, delivered an opening speech and welcomed all the participants.

Dzhafar Makhmudov, Deputy Chairman for Public Work at the Regional Branch of APK and Chairman of Azerbaijani National and Cultural Center of Pavlodar Region, was invited as a guest of honor. In his speech, he noted that inter-ethnic harmony is vitally important for our society. “We are strong as a society because representatives of all ethnic groups live in peace; it is very important for you, current students, to remember that, as you will be responsible for developing our country in the 21st century,” he said.

Students received detailed information on the activities carried out by ethno-cultural associations, the House of Friendship, schools of national revival, and youth clubs of Pavlodar region.

Eset Khaykhoroyeva, an undergraduate student of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, made a report on traditions of the Chechen people. Zhanna Zhunusova told about inter-ethnic marriages.
