Maksut Uteshev, Deputy Head of the Department of the RK Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption in Pavlodar region, visited S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University to meet the academic staff and students of the University.

The meeting was held under the awareness-raising program of the Department of the RK Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption in Pavlodar region. The main purpose of the meeting is explaining the main provisions of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025.

In his speech, Maksut Uteshev told about the international experience of combating corruption and main activities carried out by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption.

He also noted that the corresponding legal and institutional framework has already been created, and anti-corruption mechanisms are constantly improved.

The Anti-Corruption Program of Nur Otan has been developed and approved. A new Anti-Corruption Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan till 2025 has also been adopted.

Speaking to the audience, Maksut Uteshev stressed that special attention is paid to public education and information activities. The practice of holding anti-corruption seminars and trainings, which provide in-depth understanding and awareness of the risks associated with improper performance of state functions, will be continued.

It is planned to get feedback from the public through the establishment of the Advisory Centre. Members of the round-the-clock call center will explain statutes of the law and procedures in certain situations of corruption.

“It is important to engage every citizen in the anti-corruption movement. This can be achieved by creating an atmosphere of zero tolerance for any manifestation of corruption, which will eventually lead to a decrease in its level. Despite the fact that you are still very young, your personality has already been formed. Being a person means taking responsibility. Don't go with the tide. Be active! Much work lies ahead, but I am deeply convinced that practical realization of these documents will lead us to great achievements,” said Maksut Uteshev.
