On March 31, 2015, students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University expressed their support for the initiative of holding early presidential election in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The idea to support the initiative put forward by the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK) was voiced and unanimously backed by active students of S. Toraighyrov PSU at a special forum.

In his opening speech, Aleksandr Kolodin, a famous artist, member of the regional election team, and an electioneering agent of the Candidate for President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev, urged the youth to appreciate peace and stability in the country. He also stressed that in the context of the global crisis, we need firm guarantees of stability and consistency.

Arman Yeshmuratov, a City Maslikhate deputy, member of the regional election team, and an electioneering agent of the Candidate for President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev, claimed that in view of some negative external factors, such as instability of the world economy, Kazakhstan should take a number of preventive measures. “Given the current situation, early election is an adequate political initiative that can ensure stability, socio-economic and political development of Kazakhstan.”

Daniyar Aytyshev, Executive Secretary of the Pavlodar Regional Branch of Zhas Otan, stressed the importance of the Nurly Zhol strategy put forward by the President. “One of the reasons pointing to the need for this initiative to be realized is the existence of the Nurly Zhol strategy. Timely measures described in this strategy will help Kazakhstan overcome global challenges, strengthen our economy, and improve the political situation,” he said.

Akbota Sarybay, Chairman of the Committee on Youth Affairs of S. Toraighyrov PSU, noted that building a strong and prosperous state is a common goal for all citizens of Kazakhstan. The ideas put forward by the President inspire the younger generation to achieve higher goals.

Yuliya Tarasova, a second-year student majoring in Tourism, urged students to be worthy citizens and patriots. According to her, such a momentous event as the presidential election should be taken seriously by everyone.

This forum was also a good chance for PSU students to ask their questions regarding the upcoming election and receive answers directly from the members of the regional election team.
