An exhibition of pictures by Maysa Iklasova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Architecture and Design of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University and member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, took place in Omsk, Russia.

It was held in the exhibition hall of the Central Library named after A.S. Pushkin.

The exhibition featured a series of landscape pictures painted with felt (“My Kazakhstan”) and some graphical works (“Mukagali”) inspired by Mukagali Makatayev's poems. Total number of pictures presented in the exhibition is 30.

“Altynay Zhunusova, the Chairperson of the Siberian Center of Kazakh Culture, made a great contribution to the organization of this event,” says Maysa Iklasova. The exhibition was a real success, it became a platform for exchanging ideas and communication with fellow artists and compatriots living in Omsk. The works by Maysa Iklasova received positive reviews from Kayrtay Amirgazin, Director of Omsk Institute of Arts, member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, and Amangeldi Shakenov, an artist from Omsk.

Yeldar Kunayev, the Consul of Kazakhstan in Omsk, said that the exhibition was an important event in the cultural life of our compatriots, thanked the author for her contribution to the development of cultural relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation and awarded her a letter of appreciation.

As a part of the exhibition program, Maysa Iklasova held a master class for all art-lovers.
