In the lead-up to the University Day celebration, the Faculty of History and Law held an event in the concert hall of S. Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University on May 21, 2014.

The Faculty of History and Law was established on June 20, 2003. It includes five departments: Department of History of Kazakhstan, Department of Sociology and Political Science, Department of Jurisprudence, and Department of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. The academic staff of the Faculty includes more than thirty leading scientists.

The Dean of the Faculty of History and Law, Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor Amergaly Begimtayev emphasized that members of the Faculty have extensive experience in teaching, they use modern educational resources and facilities, do their best to make learning fun and memorable, and create favorable conditions for professional training of students. 'Activities of the Departments are aimed at developing historical knowledge, notion and awareness of historical processes, teaching patriotism and humanism to students. Our Faculty trains highly-skilled specialists, there's always high demand for them, both in our country and abroad', said Amergaly Begimtayev.

Head of the 10th Department for Supervision of Judicial Acts on Criminal Cases of the Pavlodar Region Public Prosecution Office Radimkhan Dubayeva was a guest of honor at the event. She greeted all participants of the event, wished students diligence in their studies and strong student friendship.

Students of the Faculty of History and Law win prizes in various national academic competitions and demonstrate impressive achievements in sport: students majoring in History took the second place at the 4th National Academic Competition in History among Students which took place in Ye.A. Buketov KarSU; Rustem Zholdybalin won the 3rd prize in the individual program; Gulsana Aubakirova, Elmira Belyalova, and Dias Shakenov took the 2nd place in the national academic competition in Almaty. Darya Usanova participated in the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi; Zairbek Abylkadyrov is a silver medalist at the world championships in jiu -jitsu.

During the celebration ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty presented members and students of the Faculty with letters of appreciation for achievements in the academic, research and public life of the Faculty.

One of the most memorable parts of the celebration program was musical performance by senior lecturers of the Departments of Jurisprudence and Sociology and Political Science Yerlan Olzhabayev and Dauren Sulekeyev, as well students of the Faculty.
