The PSU team presented 5 projects at the National Competition of Students' Social and Business Projects ЕNACTUS KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL EXPO 2014 (Almaty) on April 21-23, 2014.

Teams representing 45 universities took part in the Competition.

ENACTUS is an international program of student projects that address social, environmental and economic challenges, bringing together active students, academic and business leaders. This program is global in scale with businessmen, sponsors and patrons from 39 countries.

The Enactus PSU team consisted of 16 students (Faculty of Machine Building, Metallurgy and Transport, Faculty of Architecture and Construction, and Faculty of Energy Engineering) and a supervisor (senior lecturer of the Faculty of Machine Building, Metallurgy and Transport Ruslan Mukanov). Our team took the third place in the League.

Participants of the competition emphasize that such events provide an opportunity to use their theoretical knowledge in practice and develop leadership skills. 'We are united by one idea of helping people, the idea of raising the living standards of socially vulnerable groups by giving them knowledge and skills. The Competition program and master classes helped us consolidate the knowledge about the basic principles, methods and trends in our professional areas, evaluate the significance of our future professions. Besides, we have gained entrepreneurial skills', said the team captain Bakhtygul Kasymova.

The jury of the Competition recognized the projects presented by S. Toraighyrov PSU as promising and significant for the social sphere. Our team received the ENACTUS KAZAKHSTAN NATIONAL EXPO 2014 award. Members of our team were also awarded certificates and brought a letter of appreciation to the Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU Serik Omirbayev.
