Undergraduate and graduate students of S. Toraighyrov PSU held a simulation exercise in Forms and Methods of Student Activists' Work on Formation of Ethnic and Religious Tolerance among Students. The event was held under the Bilim+ project on April 16, 2014.

The purpose of this event is teaching the importance of active civic participation in strengthening inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony.

The event was organized by the primary branch of Zhas Otan.

PSU students took an active part in this event. Lalita Kirichenko, a first year student of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, and Nursultan Kopbayev, a first year student of the Faculty Architecture and Construction, were the moderators.

The format of such events helps young people develop their leadership skills and the ability to defend their point of view.

This event provided an opportunity for students to actively participate in the formation of ethnic and religious tolerance among students by means of involving them in the development and implementation of specific projects.

Besides, such events contribute to development of such positive qualities as respecting spiritual and cultural values of the Kazakh people, responsibility for the future of the state. Such activities also help students realize that they can do something important for their country and feel proud of it.
