A training seminar devoted to the Methods of Tolerant Culture Formation and Inter-ethnic Harmony Development at the University was held in the Academic Council Sessions Hall of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on April 15, 2014.

The event was organized by the Division of Educational Work and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov PSU in cooperation with Birlik Student Assembly.

The purpose of the event was to promote tolerant attitude to all ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan, formation of the need and readiness for cooperation with individuals and groups regardless of their ethnicity, social status, religious affiliation, beliefs, worldview, thinking styles, and behavior.

Ensuring inter-ethnic, inter-religious harmony, and civic unity is an important condition for the prosperity of the state and its social, economic, and political development. In this regard, the seminar held at Pavlodar State University is an important step towards the preservation of peace and harmony in Kazakhstan.

The following problems were discussed during the seminar: formation of negative attitudes to any forms of violence and aggression; development of the skills of inter-ethnic and inter-religious interaction, tolerant communication, effective cooperation with all social groups, and formation of the ability to determine the limits of tolerance.

The seminar was attended by active members of Birlik Student Assembly, youth organizations of the University, students, and members of the Division of Educational Work and Social Affairs.
