Students of the Faculty of Humanities and Education of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University are among prize-winners at the National Music Olympics for students dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory.

The main goal of the event is development of professional skills of future professionals, as well as selection and support of the most talented and gifted students.

Contestants prepared two different musical performances. According to the results of the competition, Salima Saparova, a student of the Department of Performing Arts, took the second place in the Accordion nomination. Aydana Gabnasyrova was also among the prize-winners.

Besides, participants of the competition also attended a master-class by A.M. Gaysina, an Honored Artist, Professor of Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory, as well as a concert by Z.N. Smakova, a Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Kobyz and Accordion.

Nazymbek Dukenbay, one of the teachers of competition winners, says that such events give students an opportunity to exchange experiences and improve their knowledge in their professional field. ‘Music Olympics always help identify talented and competitive young people for further employment and formation of personnel reserve of the country,’ said Head of the Department of Performing Arts Daniyar Mergaliyev.
