On February 28, 2014, a musical and theatrical performance was given in the lobby of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University for the teaching staff and structural units members, undergraduate and graduate students of the University.

The Butter Week is a Slavic festive period which celebrated since the pagan times. It is a celebration of the imminent end of the winter.

Celebration of the Butter Week in PSU was held in the form of a theatrical performance with the participation of students of the Faculty of Humanities and Education and performers from the Student Philharmonic of the University.

The celebration of Butter Week is traditionally organized by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of PSU Alevtina Tsvetkova.

The schedule of the Butter Week, starting from its beginning on Monday to its finish on Sunday, was vividly shown by the participants of the event.

Vivid dancing and vocal performances given by students of the University helped to create the right atmosphere for the celebration. Even those teachers and staff members who didn't participate in the celebration held in the lobby of the University could feel this atmosphere of the Butter Week. After the performance program in the lobby, participants of the event went through the corridors of the University wearing Russian national costumes, singing, dancing and congratulating everyone on their way.

At the end of the celebration, there was a large feast where everyone could taste dishes of Russian cuisine. Of course, pancakes, an essential attribute of the Butter Week, were especially popular among the guests.
